I’m a documentary photographer based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. I focus on long-term, research-based projects designed to have positive community impact. I began my work from 2012–2016 as an assistant photographer. From 2016 to 2019, I worked as a commercial photographer taking up advertising work in Mumbai. In 2019, I shifted my focus solely toward documentary photography. From 2019 to 2024, I completed a multi-year project on sustainable cotton farming ecosystems in Erode, Tamil Nadu.
I’m currently developing work on environment-related issues in Uttarakhand like natural disasters, out-migration, human–animal conflict, examining how policy and climate change affect the people in the region. My method is slow and relational, intended to embed myself in the region and communities.
